The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award
LEAP Camp is proud to deliver the The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award.
The Duke Edinburgh’s International Award is an internationally recognised program for young people, building their skills to equip them for life and work. By creating opportunities for young people to develop skills, get physically active, give service and experience adventure, the Award can play a critical role in their development.
As a non-formal educational programme, the Award can play a vital role in providing opportunities for young people to develop essential life skills, complementing their formal education. This enables them to grow in confidence and in their ability to contribute positively to their communities. Its success and flexibility is evidenced by the fact that it has spread to over 140 countries and territories.
Participants wanting to complete the Bronze Award will be able to register with Gymnastics NSW as their Award Unit. By taking part in the LEAP program, participants can work towards achieving their Bronze Award. Gymnastics NSW Award Leaders will sign off on Service, Physical Recreation and Skill.
